Someone I work with told me about this site the other day urbanatropy.com. Thing is - this building is part of the property where I work. My "facility" has an incredible amount of history. Unfortunately, several of the buildings are in great disrepair, but it really lends itself to this time of year. AND...I can see this building from my office window! How's that for creepy, 24/7? I'm waiting to find someone (or thing) looking back at me one day...
I promised myself that I'd start this blog earlier in the year, but you know how time gets away...we had an incredible Halloween in '07 and thought we'd get a head start on props this year, but that got away from us, too. So, now we're playing catch up, and of course there are SO many ideas swirling around in the gray matter.
I've posted some pics from last year, this one I like to call "Zombie Jealousy". We were breaking down Halloween (sob, sob) and I happened to look over and catch them fom that angle...I wonder what they've been doing all year while they were locked away in the attic?
We're probably going to recycle most of what we built last year, along with a few new props - as many as I can schmooze my husband into building (if you're reading - love you, honey!)...he supplies the know-how and brawn and I supply the creative insanity...We also have some extra help this year, my daughter and her SO (significant other), are home to live with us for a while and we're getting them in on the act. The sweetest music to my ears was my daughter's exclamations of glee as we were looking at gory chest plates on Horrordome.com. Proud to say the fruit's not falling far from the tree...! Her SO should probably run as fast as he can...Enjoy some of the pics of our first yard haunt, Frightly Manor 2007.
